I always thought GQ was just a very metrosexual-oriented fashion magazine for the dapper male. The April 2008 issue, however, has shown me the error of my ways. And I’m not talking about Adriana Lima’s extremely sexy pictures, although some of you might want to check that out too…
Claudia Schiffer has a photo spread in the fashion section, advertising neckties - and their, uh, versatility. Her partner in the pictures is none other than Joseph Gordon-Levitt, child star turned serious actor. 10 years ago he was my teenage crush, although he was further down the hierarchy. Now he’s the envy of straight men everywhere as he frolics with Claudia Schiffer, playing noir detective to her glamorous spy. Article here, slideshow here.

This is by no means the best picture of the lot, since I don’t want to spoil anyone’s fun. Suffice to say, I’m running down to the magazine store tomorrow to find me a copy of this. Interested parties can buy the Adriana Lima photoshoot off me. I’m not buying the magazine to look at the women, you know.
Damn. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is like the nerdy classmate who turns up at your high school reunion, after he’s had 10 years to become muscular, funny, and an Internet gazillionaire. I always knew I had good taste in men - it just takes time to prove itself.
For those of you who are still confused, or suffering from “where have I seen him” syndrome: TV sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun, playing Tommy Solomon, the long-haired “son” of Dick Solomon and “nephew” of Harry. Yes, funny names.
